Analisis Produktivitas Hasil Panen Bawang Merah dalam Mendukung Kemandirian Pangan Ditinjau dari Perspektif Ekonomi Syariah
Abstract
Abstract: The purpose of this study to analyze onion productivity and the role of farmers in supporting food independence. This research uses qualitative methods with the locus of this study in Probolinggo Regency. The subject of this study is onion productivity in Probolinggo Regency. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documents. Data analysis consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study found that onion productivity in Probolinggo Regency is quite volatile because it is caused by several factors, including technical maintenance and care, natural conditions (climate and weather), and the availability of farmer capital. The role of farmers in supporting food security by increasing productivity is related to planting intensity, land provision, and technical cultivation capabilities. The productivity of shallots is considered capable of supporting regional food independence due to the lack of commodity supply from other regions and countries. This is due to the availability of shallots in the local market is still able to meet market demand and public tastes in Probolinggo shallots are high. so that it can support food independence. This study analyzed the Islamic economic perspective of Ibn Khaldun's thinking related to business productivity, especially the productivity of onion crops by farmers. This perspective states that the agricultural sector is the basis of the economic strength of the community. Productive agriculture, government support, and effective resource management are the keys to the socio-economic well-being of the community.
